2nd July 2009 Important information regarding 0870 numbers

Following our previous email on 8th May 2009 which advised that OFCOM had announced regulatory changes to 0870 calls, we have now received a decision from our supplier and can confirm that from 1st August 2009 all 0870 numbers will no longer provide revenue share and will instead be chargeable. The charge to your customers for receiving incoming calls on a 0870 number will be 3p/min + VAT. Please also note that from 1st August 2009 we will no longer receive orders for new 0870 numbers.

Affected customers will then need to decide if they wish to retain their existing 0870 numbers and be charged for incoming calls or if they wish to move to an alternative non-geographic number. We currently have several alternative numbers available including 03xx and 0844 numbers.

03xx NUMBERS
Incoming calls to 03xx numbers will incur a charge of 1.15p/min + VAT

0844 NUMBERS
No charges are incurred for receiving calls to 0844 numbers. Both 03xx and 0844 numbers can be forwarded to any 01, 02 or 03 landlines.

We will also advise of the 03xx and 0844 numbers available and how you can reserve them shortly. Please be aware that if Entanet does not receive notification of your decision to retain or move to an alternative NGN by 1st August 2009 the number will be suspended until Entanet is advised of your decision.

Full details of the OFCOM regulatory changes can be found at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consult/condocs/0870calls/0870statement/

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please also be aware that all Entanet contact numbers have now changed. If you have any questions please contact your Entanet Account Manager on 0333 101 0000.

1st July 2009 New 03 Contact Numbers

Please be aware that Entanet's contact numbers have now changed. To contact Entanet please dial 0333 101 0000 or for technical support please dial 0333 101 0600.

23rd June 2009 NEW 03 CONTACT NUMBERS

As we advised on previous communications Entanet’s contact telephone numbers will be changing from 0870 to 03 from 1st July 2009 following consultation with Ofcom. Please note the following numbers:

1. Entanet’s main switchboard - 0333 101 0000. From this number you will be able to select the department you require.
2. Technical Support - 0333 101 0600.

Calls to the new 03 numbers will cost the same as calls to 01/02 UK numbers and will use inclusive minutes on most providers’ call packages. Meanwhile calls made via an Entanet VoIP account remain free of charge. Please also note that you can now call any Entanet numbers starting with 03, including DDIs, free of charge via your Entanet VoIP account.

Where you publish an Entanet telephone number we recommend you amend this as above from 1st July 2009. The existing 0870 numbers will cease to be in service from 1st August 2009 and callers will be asked to redial using the appropriate 03 number. For further information contact your Account Manager.

March 28 2009

The information on the Entanet Partner Site regarding Entanet’s approach to traffic management has been updated. The information explains how Entanet’s Anti-Loss Tool (ALT) will be applied to the new broadband products, as well as Entanet’s approach to marking high bandwidth users and how they will be affected by the ALT. The information is applicable from 30th March 2009 and can be found on the ‘Traffic Management’ page within the ‘New Broadband Products’ section of the Partner Site.

The documentation available from this section of the Partner Site, namely the Partner Pack, Partner FAQ and Customer FAQ has also been amended to reflect the updated explanation.

March 17 2009

As previously advised we have now emailed all end users billed directly by Entanet to advise them of the forthcoming changes to our broadband portfolio which will take effect from 30th March 2009. Your end user customers now have until 29th March 2009 to select an alternative package and/or overusage option via the Entanet E-billing Site. If an alternative package has not been selected by this date they will be automatically moved to the closest comparable package, as advised in their email, from their billing period start date after 30th March 2009.

If you bill your customers directly we recommend that you should have by now emailed them advising of the forthcoming changes. Please note you need to inform Entanet of the packages your end user customers wish to be moved to by 29th March 2009. You can do this via the Entanet Partner Site either for each customer individually or by using the bulk upload tool. More information is available on the ‘Changing Packages’ page within the ‘New Broadband Products’ section of the Partner Site. If Entanet has not been advised of the requested package changes by this date your customers will be automatically moved to the closest comparable package as per the Comparison Chart which is also available from the Partner Site.

Please note, all existing ADSL and ADSL2+ packages will be withdrawn from sale on 30th March 2009. The new packages will be available for new customers to order from this date.

March 2 2009

We write to apologise for errors that occurred in the issue of emails to Entanet-billed customers on Friday 27th February explaining the forthcoming changes to their broadband packages and pricing. Despite testing prior to sending, errors in the formatting and some content became evident shortly after issue. Steps were taken to stop the transmission, however a small percentage of customers received it. As a consequence we will be issuing a corrected email to all customers, also apologising to those who received it incorrectly last Friday.

We apologise for any inconvenience this error has caused you and would appreciate it if you would also convey our apology to your customers in any of your own communications.

January 14 2009

Please see below for the latest information from Entanet.

>> CUSTOMERS GO LIVE ON IPSTREAM CONNECT

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully moved the first IPStream customers onto IPStream Connect. The first realm was moved over in early January as expected without any errors or problems.  As per the announcement on noc.enta.net on 23rd December 2008, the remaining realms will continue to be moved across throughout January. We do not expect End Users to experience any noticeable change to their service.

>> CHANGES TO BROADBAND PRODUCTS

Further to our announcement of 19th December regarding changes to off-peak hours in which we advised we would consult further with Partners in early January 2009, we are happy to advise that following this consultation and careful consideration, we will not be making any changes to the off-peak hours associated with the existing Entanet ADSL products.

We have instead embarked on the development of new resale broadband products with the co-operation of many of our larger Partners. Feedback has so far been extremely encouraging and we expect to be able to advise you of the final detail within the next few weeks, thereby allowing a reasonable time for customers to be informed and for yourself to make any required preparations. It is necessary for us to develop new products because a number of market factors have impacted adversely on the long term viability of existing products since they were created in 2005. Please be assured, however, that we intend to develop broadband products that continue to allow you to offer an attractive, competitive and rewarding proposition to both existing and new customers. In the meantime, no changes will be applied to our existing resale broadband products.

>> XML UPDATE PROCESS ANNOUNCEMENT

Based on feedback from our Partners, we have made several important improvements to the way updates to our Partner XML service are made.

These improvements will:

- Keep you informed about upcoming changes to the XML service via RSS and the Partner Site

- Give you at least one week’s notice before any changes are made to the live service

- Allow you to test bug fixes and new features before they are made live

- Allow you to use the previous version of the XML service if an update causes problems.

If you are already using our XML service, then you won't need to make any changes to your systems.

You can view and subscribe to our Partner XML Updates RSS by visiting the ‘XML Updates’ page in the ‘XML’ section of the Partner Site.

December 19 2008

Further to our announcement to Partners regarding the planned change to off-peak hours on Entanet’s existing ADSL products from 19th January 2009.

After careful consideration we have taken the decision to defer any change to the current peak/off-peak times until we have discussed the matter further with key Partners in early January 2009. Consequently we will not be issuing a statement to Entanet-billed End User customers today as initially planned.

Please be assured that your customers’ products remain unchanged and that they need not take action in response to the statements and speculation being raised on public forums.

If you hold the billing relationship with your customers and have already informed them of the change as per the email sent on Thursday, we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
