You can use X-Lite or your own IP Phone, VOIP device or Softphone for initial tests. (Example Account id and VOIP password are listed below).

Xlite Softphone Setup

Windows users can download a copy of the Xlite Softphone application here. For the MAC version click here. For the Linux Version click here.

  1. Install the software to your PC using the installer and run the application.
  2. Right click on X-Lite application and select SIP Account Settings.

  1. Click on Add button.

-          Set ‘Display Name’ and ‘User Name’ as your ACCOUNT ID. Example: 844xxxx

-          ‘Authorization user name’ – Leave blank

-          Set ‘Password’ as your SIP VOIP password.

-          Set ‘Domain’ as: vptsip.dyndns.org

-          Set ‘Send outbound via proxy’ and set address to: vptsip.dyndns.org

-          Press OK and press Close

  1. Phone will try to register to domain and it will display ready and your user name on the phone screen. Dial a destination number to validate your registration.

Linksys PAP2T AND 2002 VoIP Adaptor Setup

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Connect network cable, power supply and analogue handset.
  2. After the unit has finished powering up, pick up the handset and dial **** to access the Linksys voice menu. At the voice prompt, dial 110# and you should hear the IP Address of the unit. Go to a web browser and type in the IP Address like so: http://IP_ADDRESS/admin/advanced. The administration screen of the Linksys should be displayed.
  3. Click on the Line 1 and Line 2 tab and configure your account details exactly as displayed in the image below (example on Line 2)

 
·         Set Proxy to: vptsip.dyndns.org 
·         Set Register to yes
·         Set Display Name to your ID (example 72345678)
·         Set User ID to your ID (example 72345678)
·         Set Password to your Password (example 123456)
